A message to our special guests:
Thank you for joining me on an upcoming episode of the Journeys Webcast!
I’m looking forward to our upcoming conversation. My interviews are casual conversations—usually over a glass of wine, coffee, or tea. Each episode lasts about an hour. I use a webcast platform that makes the Livestream more entertaining than a typical “Zoom” call—it allows me to inject video and photography and provides a chat room where our live audience can ask questions, comment, and interact.
I usually livestream from my studio in San Diego on Mondays around 3 PM PST, but that’s flexible. We have approximately 500 people reregistered for all episodes, and then we capture more with pre-event announcements and promos on the usual social channels. At this time, the Journeys Webcast is not sponsored; there is no monetization; it’s just a shared connection and casual talk.
You can see the wide range and diverse collection of guests I’ve interviewed via replays on YouTube: www.journeyswebcast.com. The idea is to talk about your life’s journey and how it brought you to where you are today. Sometimes this journey includes music, history, energy, and love.
I research each guest and encourage you to send your bio and any recent projects and background and links to content that may help me and our viewers learn more about you.
To help you prepare, below are some frequently asked questions. If we haven’t covered all your questions, contact me at allan@worldrider.com.
Cheers,
Allan

Allan goes live at 3:00 PM Pacific Time and will connect with you behind the scenes at 2:55 PM. (For those in different time zones, we can adjust the interview time.)
How much time should I allocate for the interview?
Plan for 60 to 90 minutes, and let us know in advance if you have time constraints.
What topics will be discussed?
The Journeys show is about your life and the journey you took to get there. What accomplishments are you proud of, and what struggles and setbacks did you overcome to get there? Who inspired or helped you along the way? Was there a life event that changed the course of your life?
Can I promote my latest project?
Of course! Give us the details, and we’ll work it into the conversation.
Will there be drinking involved?
Because it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere, feel free to have a beverage of choice on hand. And more, the merrier! You are welcome to include pets, friends, spouses, partners, or anyone relevant to your story who you would like to include. We can add guests from separate locations, but if you have someone join you in person, it’s best for each of you to have your headphones and mic, if possible.

What hardware and software do I need to connect with Allan?
We use StreamYard, a browser-based Livestream platform that allows us to stream to YouTube Live and Facebook Live simultaneously. All you need is a solid internet connection, a mic, a camera, headphones, and a quiet environment with good lighting. For Mac users, Streamyard requires using the Google Chrome browser because it’s not compatible with Safari. These Guest Instructions from StreamYard will help you best prepare for our event: https://streamyard.com/resources/docs/guest-instructions/.
We conduct a brief connectivity test before the show at a prearranged time that works with your schedule.
What if I encounter a problem and have to cancel?
Hey, sometimes life gets out of control. Contact us as soon as you know you cannot make your technology work or you’ve had an emergency conflict come up. We have a backup plan but appreciate as much advance notice as possible. Ideally, Allan will announce a reschedule date to his viewers and news of the unanticipated change in guests.
